Women play vital role in care and management of milch animals in their housholds. But, the exposure they had with outer world to know the best practices in milk production is low or sometimes the social restrictions does not allow them to have direct access. In such a situation, we at our organisation make an attempt to reach out all those women involved in milch cattle rearing, to improve their capacity.
We introduce rearing of Azolla and feeding it to milch animals, with other food stuff, on a daily basis, so that it improve the fat content of milk, meaning more money flow into the family, which really attracted a lot of women in surrounding villages of our Institution and is being taken up by them individually as well as in groups.
The culture and the knowhow of its growing and its utilization in milk quality enhancement is taught to all women folks through in house as well as off campus training programmes conducted by our Home Scientist.
